giving thanks.

we've had a lot of excitement this past week, but as its thanksgiving eve i figured i'd let those thrilling tales of adventure slide in favor of something more festive. so in the spirit of the holiday, the things loveandcyanide are currently thankful for (in no particular order):
  • anesthesiologists
  • Richard Lewis comedy specials
  • father's prowess when it comes to fixing vacuum cleaners
  • Tums
  • living in a pet-free environment
  • nana's stockpile of extra kitchen tools
  • the one gray sweater we own that is family-gathering appropriate
  • our neighborhood
  • nurses who know how to help a pair of spastic sisters who do not know how to properly put on their hospital gowns

and last, but certainly not least, YOU! our dear readers. happy turkey day everyone.

After seeing A Garfield Thanksgiving many years ago I'm always jealous of your extra holiday. It's just a boring normal day over here. Can I be an honorary American?

Happy Thanksgiving! (Can I say "y'all"?)

No.

of course you can - so happy thanksgiving, tim! maybe you can make a holiday special of your "very first thanksgiving" where you dress up like a pilgrim and make homemade cranberry sauce.

Is Chuckles saying I can't be an honorary American, or I can't say "y'all"?

I'm not sure I like the idea of dressing up like a pilgrim, and making homemade cranberry sauce sounds like a lot of work. How about I just veg out in front of the telly? I can do that!

anesthesiologists? hospital gowns? was everything alright this holiday?

No "Y'all" for you. Or anyone.

I think they carved a bit more than turkey.

Oh. OK then, I can live with that.

we're fine, and weren't carved up for thanksgiving. just the turkey was - no worries!
