hoppy holidays peeple.

the breakfast cereal ones are my faves.

and as we're just now coming out of our peep-induced sugar coma...if you did celebrate easter yesterday, a happy belated one.

in what could be deemed as a slightly sadistic twist to the holiday, my grandmother opted to bring back an age-old family tradition and served rabbit - amongst a ton of other things - to celebrate. this caused major debate over dinner, and divided the family into the "i won't eat peter cottontail" - a phrase actually uttered during the course of the day - and the "screw the easter bunny! rabbit braised in red wine is just damn good" camps.

loveandcyanide was of course in the latter group, and we proved victorious. hoorah.

i have a coworker who specifically opens a pack of peeps and leaves them for like a week, in order to "stale" them properly. apparently, she likes stale peeps. and "a pack of peeps" is extremely fun to say!

I would rather mutilate peeps than eat them.

Preferably with a microwave and toothpicks. Too bad I own neither miccrowave, toothpicks, nor peeps.

i had a teacher in high school who saved peeps for a YEAR. I never understood heavily marshmallowed candies.

also -- if the rabbit that i (killed and) ate last year after My First Hunting Trip was any indication, L&C had a very merry holiday.

ss23 - i never understood why people like their peeps stale...my dad does that too. it just ruins them!

chuckles - we don't own toothpicks either. does anyone?

ph - they are sugary blobs of marshmallow, and its fun to say their name. whats not to love about a peep?!

itm - had cap'n crunch not been so prominently featured in the cereal one, the cookies would've been my fave too.
