a new level of multitasking.

having already expressed our love for supermarkets many - some may say too many - times here, you are well aware of our support of the industry.

that said, i'm not quite sure how i feel about this:

check out.

a singles event at a supermarket. in one respect, i think this is sort of clever - a shopping cart full of goodies makes for an easy conversation starter. oh hey, you prefer rice pasta too?

on the other hand, i think its sort of creepy (and not just because i think all forced singles events seem sort of creepy). and really, what are they going to do about the harsh supermarket lighting?

I am thinking that checking one of these out would be interesting. But that is because the ratio is favorable in DC. And I am bored. I think I still have like two or three weeks before I met another woman.

I'm not sure if that's the most awesome idea ever or really strange...

The gym I used to go to did a singles night a few years back; I didn't go because quite frankly I didn't think that was the place where I looked my best.

Yeah, sweaty and smelling like feet from the gym showers is not exactly going to melt a lot of hearts.

On the other hand, I just signed up for a yuppie singles event at the National Zoo. They will serve beer and let us look at the lions and tigers. Oh my.

i agree that the gym singles event would be a little much - but one at a zoo?! that would be awesome.

let us know how it goes, chuckles.
