well, i'm temporarily back in business after the computer debacle of 2006. CompUsa most certainly took the gold in "Uselessness" last week.
so i've decided that i'd like to thank the universe for choosing me to be one of the people that completely ridiculous situations happen to. yes, it is often frustrating. yes, i often feel that people don't believe the stories i tell them because they sound mildly insane. yes, it makes me wonder how on earth i'll deal with such random nonsense when i'm elderly. but in the meantime it makes for an amusing ride, and isn't that, in big picture mode, what we're all after anyways?
one of the most recent incidences to prompt that thankfulness outburst was that whilst at dinner last night, the owner came to our table to snap photos of our dinners. move your glasses, get your forks out of the way, missy put down that shrimp -- the man needs to take some pictures! so if you're cruising up steinway street and see a pic of a nice plate of ceviche, that's my pinkie in the corner. ah, fame.
and i'm convinced that if the song "in the summertime" was piped through the streets 24 hrs a day, this world would be such a happier place. like care-a-lot, but without the cloudmobiles.
